Introduction
A well-known classic, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most prominently sought-after trekking adventures in Nepal. It wouldn’t be far off saying that the Annapurna Circuit Trek is a masterpiece of classic trekking ventures. The Annapurna Circuit is comprehensive in presenting trekkers with the region’s best elements and characteristics.
The Annapurna Circuit Trek touches the edges of the Tibetan plateau, crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna massif with the trail going through the Thorung La Pass (5416m) - the highest Mountain Pass on the trekking journey. Views of the mountains like Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna South (7219m), Gangapurna (7454m), Nilgiri (7061m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), Dhaulagiri (8167m) and many other neighboring peaks seen from the Thorung La Pass (5416m) are utterly resplendent and quite alluring. It is a journey of circumventing the Annapurna massif in an anti-clockwise direction, trekking from foothills of the Annapurna to well-known destinations like Manang, Thorung La Phedi, Mustang, Muktinath, Marpha and Pokhara. It is often referred to as the best long-distance trek in the world. Besides, the Annapurna Circuit is also a spiritual journey; the temple of Muktinath with its eternal burning flame adds a spiritual ambiance to an otherwise naturally rich adventure. Furthermore, along with the journey, trekkers can also enjoy the natural hot springs of Tatopani. Descending along Ghorepani, the trek adds a final touch of master-class as we witness the sunrise over the majestic Annapurna ranges of Annapurna Circuit Trek.
Our team of professional staff manages everything required for you all along the journey in the best possible way. Accompanied by well-trained guides, we always make sure that all of our customers are getting the best services. We provide excellent accommodation and transportation services while never compromising the standard of the trek. Your satisfaction is our guarantee!
Upon landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be picked up and welcomed by one of our airport representatives and be transferred to your hotel for your check-in. You can enjoy your stay at the hotel and take in its surroundings. In the evening, you will participate in a welcome dinner organized by Ace Vision Treks. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
You will have a wonderful guided sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu city today. The city has four major UNESCO World Heritage sites within its parameters, and each of the sites is revered religious and historical destinations that showcase Nepal's dexterity in the field of art and architecture in an amazing way. You will visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Pashupatinath Temple, the Boudhanath Stupa and the Swayambhunath Stupa. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your Hotel. Overnight stay at ahotel in Kathmandu.
From the capital, we will drive to Bhulbhule passing Besisahar on the way. This drive gives you some insight into the rural residence of Nepal – their lifestyle and cultures are quite different from those living in the bustling city. From Bhulbhule, we begin our trek towards Ngadi. Overnight stay at Ngadi.
This day entails a short trek from Ngadi to Jagat. Traversing along the border of Annapurna Conservation Area and Manaslu Conservation Area, the trek first heads to Bahundanda. Walking opposite to the flow of the Marsayangdi River, we make our way to Ghermu Phant and ascend to Syange. Jagat is a couple of hours’ walk away from Syange. Overnight stay at Jagat.
From Jagat, our trail winds up to Chamje- a small settlement that is surrounded by sheer vertical cliffs and laden with a waterfall. After crossing a suspension bridge over the Gandaki River, the trail takes us uphill through thick Oak forests. We will continue along the Marsayangdi River to reach Dharapani. Overnight stay at Dharapani.
The trail climbs along a mule dirt track into lush fir forest and then follows the river alongside tall oak and maple trees. On the way, you will be awestruck by spectacular views of major Himalayan peaks like Manaslu (8163m), the Lamjung Himal (6983m) and the Annapurna II (7937m). The region is mostly occupied by Rai, Limbu, and Gurung communities. Overnight stay at Chame.
From Chame, we will leave the village passing its Chorten-gate and the Mani wall and continue on our trial which now follows a steep and narrow river valley winding through deep woodlands. The trail gets a bit dramatic after Bhratang; the sheer cliff rises to one side of the trail while the other drops off gapingly towards the Marsayangdi River. Further up ahead, you will come across the view of the Pangdi Danda. Overnight stay at Pisang.
Today, we will take the upper route to Manang via Ghyaru and Ngawal. We will experience more breathtaking scenery as the towering, majestic peaks overwhelm our senses with panoramic views of Annapurna (8091m), Pisang peak (6091m), and several other majestic Himalayas. We can also have a short visit to the Braga Monastery as well- it is the largest in the entire district of Manang. Overnight stay at Manang.
This day is set for acclimatization so that the ascent does overwhelm our bodies. We can relax or explore the Manang valley for the day. Manang houses many monasteries including Boozo Gompa and Braga Gompa which is nearly 900 years old. We can also take a short hike to Gangapurna Lake to spend the day. Overnight stay at Manang.
From Manang village, the trail crosses a stream, ascends to the village of Tengi above Manang, and then continues to climb out of the Marsayangdi Valley turning northwest up the valley towards the Jharsang Khola. Turning right into a side valley of Thorung Khola, we will continue the trek around the Annapurna’s to reach Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is a small settlement where you can see many yaks grazing on the slopes of the settlement. Overnight stay at Yak Kharka.
Our trek begins with a gradual ascent to Ledar. The trail passes along the Kone River as we make way towards Thorung Phedi. During the trek, we can get views of the Chulu mountain ranges and barren yet unconventionally charming landscapes. We cross the Kone River and after a short walk, we reach Thorung Phedi. Overnight stay at Thorung Phedi.
We begin the trek early in the morning and head to Thorung La pass (5416m). The pass provides panoramic views of snow-capped peaks like Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna III (7555m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), Gangapurna (7454m), Nilgiri (7061m), Dhaulagiri (8167m) and many other neighboring mountains. Our trail then descends steeply down to Muktinath – an important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists alike. Overnight stay at Muktinath.
Leaving the Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site of Muktinath behind, we head to the village known to be the entrance to Upper Mustang, Kagbeni. Heading west from Muktinath, we begin to make a gradual descent along the barren ridges. As the trails get flat and descend, we are accompanied by the occasional breezes and views of the surrounding areas. Continuing for a few hours, we reach Kagbeni. Overnight stay at Kagbeni.
We begin on our descent to Jomsom and head towards Jomsom enjoying the beautiful landscapes along the way. Then, the trek to Jomsom and beyond is filled with Buddhist influenced monastery and local culture. We go past Rinjing and Solmi Gompas before reaching Marpha. The region is famous for apple production and apple derivatives.Overnight stay at Marpha.
We will descend through the valley following the Kali Gandaki River to Kalopani. Walking along the bank of Kali Gandaki River, we can enjoy the deep-set terrain surrounded by tall gorges. The black river of the Kali Gandaki under the brooding sky, gushing its way mightily from far-off Muktinath and cutting its way through the landscape makes trekking quite serene. Overnight stay at Kalopani.
Today, we will continue descending through the Kali Gandaki River Valley towards Tatopani. Tatopani is famous for its natural hot springs. This is the best place to relax your body after a long days trek. The springs are mixed with natural minerals that help in soothing muscle pains. Overnight stay at Tatopani.
Heading further south, the trek on this takes us towards the heart of the Annapurna region where Gurung communities have thrived. From Tatopani, the ascent, initially, takes us to Shikha. From here, passing small settlements and occasional tea shops, we reach Phalate. Thereon, the trek ascends rather steeply to reach the Gurung village of Ghorepani. Overnight stay at Ghorepani.
On this day, we wake up early and head to the viewpoint at Poonhill. A short hike from Ghorepani leads us to the vantage point offering enchanting sunrise views over the Himalayas in the Annapurna region. Later, we return to Ghorepani and prepare for a final trek to Nayapul. You can catch glimpses of the village people as well as they work on the farms. From Nayapul, a short drive takes us to Pokhara. If time permits, we can explore the lively city. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.
You will say goodbye to the Annapurna Mountains for the last time as you make your way back towards Kathmandu today. You can spend your time shopping in the city or enjoying the many continental restaurants. You can also explore some revered sites in the city. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, you will be transferred to the airport for your final departure.

Last year we undertook a 14 day Annapurna Circuit trek with our guide and new friend Ganesh. It was amazing! We were put in touch with Ganesh whilst staying at in Kathmandu and couldn't have been happier with the service provided. He tailored the trek to suit our timescale, organised the permits and transport from start to finish. Ganesh was great and not only guided our route but answered all our many questions, taught us about the culture, religions and traditions of Nepal, identified local plants and animals and was a really fun person to be around. We couldn't recommend Ganesh more highly, he was honest, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and has made our trip to Nepal a once in a lifetime experience. Don't look any further for a reliable, well priced and honest guide! Thankyou Ganesh for an amazing adventure. We'll be back!
A tour guide? Noup, a friend. A very good one I spent several weeks with Ganesh in 2013 doing the Annapurna Circuit. My first travel alone in Asia may I add. Every day this amazing man surprised me with tiny, but meaningful details and not just in the trekking experience. After that adventure we are still good friends. I strongly recommend Ganesh because is more than a Guide, is a trustful Friend.
Amazing trek with Ganesh! We did a trek near the annapurna and had a great time. The trek was amazing and also Ganesh! Ganesh explained us everything we wanted to know and took care of everything we needed during the trek.
We did the Annapurna Circuit as our first trek ever. On top of that there was the monsoon season. So we decided to go with a guide... Ganesh! He was absolutely wonderful. He planned everything in advance, picked the best places to rest and teacher us a lot about the culture, food, plants, mountains and card games! But most important he made us falling in love with trekking! Thank you Ganesh for everything. For your laugh, knowledge and help along the trek. You knew when it was time to rest, how to take care of my blisters and gave us the time of our lives!!

We did the Annapurna circuit in early September. Our guide was excellent and made sure our safety was first at all times. The price was much better than the bigger companies. Our guide had twenty years experience and really knew his stuff. We would highly recommend Ace vision for all your Nepal treks. You'll be supporting a local family owned business.
