The Dhampus Peak Climbing journey is larger than life experience to one of the most understated destinations in the Annapurnas. Flirting on the outskirts of the Annapurna region, the journey heads to the Dhampus Peak (6012m), northwest of the far-famed Annapurna massif. While the journey poses quite a challenge, it is also generous to offer mesmerizing sceneries and ethnic cultures present along the routes. A lesser-known destination, you will get plenty of opportunities to revel in the Himalayan majesty of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Your arrival in Nepal marks the start of a grand adventure.  Dhampus peak climbing is beginning with a sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu Valley. The valley, home to seven UNESCO world heritage sites, offers you to explore the sites oozing cultural and religious magnificence. Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath are the prime destinations on the tour. You get on a road trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the City of Lakes. You can also reach Pokhara on a scenic flight. From Pokhara, a short drive leads you to Nayapul, followed by a pleasant walk to Ghorepani. The Gurung village is also the trailhead to Poonhill, one of the finest vantage points of the Annapurna ranges. From Poonhill, you savor the views of the Annapurna vistas drenched in the morning sunrise.

You then trek before officially beginning the Dhampus Peak Climbing and reaching Tatopani. After soothing yourself in the natural hot springs of Tatopani, you head to Tukuche via Ghasa.  Further ahead, steep trails welcome you as you head to the First Base Camp. Treading through snowy paths, you reach Second Base Camp and finally the High Camp of the Dhampus Peak (6012m). Upon reaching the top of the peak, you can relish the views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges and the arid lands of the Mustang. Descending from the peak, you head to Jomsom and get on a scenic flight to Pokhara. Finally returning to Kathmandu marks the end of the Dhampus Peak Climbing journey.
