Today is the first day of the trek where you will first spend around 9-10 hours driving to Machhe Khola.

To get to Arughat Bazaar and ultimately Machhe Khola, the drive passes through Dhading Besi. Despite the lengthy ride, the scenery is quite beautiful. A small portion of rural life in Nepal is visible.

        Manaslu Trekking Permits

        Three different permits—the Manaslu Special Restricted Area Permit (Manaslu RAP), Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP Permit), and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP Permit) are required for Manaslu Circuit Budget Trek.

        ACAP is necessary because the route crosses section of Annapurna Conservation Area. Licensed entity must distribute Manaslu RAP. The same authority may issue both MCAP and ACAP permits.

         Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) offices and Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) Secretariat, located in Kathmandu and Pokhara, respectively also sell them. Or you might buy them from entrance of the conservation areas as well.

        What are the best seasons for the Manaslu Trek?

        The best times to go to Manaslu Circuit Trek are from March through May in spring and from September through November in the fall.

        Weather is pleasant at this time of year and provides best views of the mountains. In summer season which falls in June, July, and August the trail becomes slippery and difficult because of heavy rain.
