Manaslu Circuit budget Trek is one of the best treks Nepal has to offer and takes you around this magnificent mountain. The Manaslu trek was permitted by the Government of Nepal only in 1991 AD and is quite remote following an off-beaten path.

Located in the Gorkha district of Nepal, mount Manaslu known as Kutang is the eighth-highest peak in the world with an altitude of 8,163 m (26,781 ft).

The Manaslu Circuit Trek takes 14 days to complete and starts with an 8–9-hour ride from Kathmandu to Machhe Khola. The actual leg of the journey begins with a trek to Jagat and over a couple of days you will pass through Deng, Namrung, and Sama Gaon as you make your way to Manaslu base camp.

Today is the first day of the trek where you will first spend around 9-10 hours driving to Machhe Khola.

To get to Arughat Bazaar and ultimately Machhe Khola, the drive passes through Dhading Besi. Despite the lengthy ride, the scenery is quite beautiful. A small portion of rural life in Nepal is visible.

After crossing Thado Kholo to reach Khorlabensi, you will continue your walk today's ascent along the Budhi Gandaki river's banks until you reach Tatopani.

        Manaslu Trekking Permits

        Three different permits—the Manaslu Special Restricted Area Permit (Manaslu RAP), the Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP Permit), and the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP Permit) are required for the Manaslu Circuit Budget Trek.

        ACAP is necessary because the route also crosses a section of the Annapurna Conservation Area. A licensed entity must distribute Manaslu RAP. The same authority may issue both MCAP and ACAP permits.

         Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) offices and the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) Secretariat, located in Kathmandu and Pokhara, respectively also sell them. Or you might buy them from the entrance of the conservation areas as well.

        Manaslu Trekking Transport

        What are the best seasons for the Manaslu Trek?

        The best times to go to Manaslu Circuit Trek are from March through May in the spring and from September through November in the fall.

        The weather is pleasant at this time of year and provides the best views of the mountains. In the summer season which falls in June, July, and August the trail becomes slippery and difficult because of heavy rain.

        While the winter season which is December, January, and February, there will be difficulty because of snow.

        Internet and Telephone in Manaslu Region

        On the trek, there are numerous teahouses with internet access. But to use it, you'll have to pay extra. To use the Wi-Fi, you will need to spend around USD 2 or USD 3. The reliability of Wi-Fi is impacted by altitude. More dependable Wi-Fi is available at  Sama Gau and Samdo, and there is no fee to use at Dharmasala.         Manaslu Region's Culture and People

        The Manaslu region, the birthplace of the Shah dynasty previous monarch dynasty of Nepal, is home to various ethnic groups.
