Jomsom Muktinath Trek is a short trip where we go through a diverse cast of landscapes beginning from the lush green forests to barren Tibetan landscapes. The majestic Kaligandaki River, the world's deepest gorge, unique monasteries, authentic culture, and mesmerizing views of the majestic Himalayas fall under the long list of mesmerizing sights to be witnessed in the Jomsom Muktinath Trek.
Jomsom Muktinath Trek begins from the Kathmandu Day Tour. The stunning treasure trove of culture and nature awaits us. We tour the UNESCO World Heritage sites around the city before making our way toward Pokhara from where the trail picks up. Heading out of Pokhara, We make our way toward Nayapul. From where lush green forests surround the trail making its way towards Ulleri. Known for the stunning views of Annapurna South (7219m) but also for the strenuous climb leading up to it.
Continuing through the forests filled with pine, fir, and rhododendron trees. The trail continues ascending towards Ghorepani Poon Hill and then onto Tatopani. Where a lovely bath in the hot water springs awaits us. The hamlet of Ghasa is the next step on our journey. From where we make our way toward Marpha entering the windy valley. Where the barren Tibetan landscape stretches as far as the eyes can see.
Crossing the enchanting city of Jomsom, we make our way toward Kagbeni. Where thousands of Hindus come each year to offer offerings for their departed ancestors. The final few days of the trek take us to the holy temple of Muktinath. And then back to Jomsom signaling the end of our Jomsom Muktinath Trek.
