The 18-dayTsum Valley Trek begins with your arrival in Kathmandu. During your stay in the valley, you will indulge in a venture through the cultural embarrassment of sites like Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These sites have also been listed as world heritage sites by UNESCO. From Kathmandu, you drive along the countryside to reach Arughat from where the trek begins. The first half of the trek ascends the Budhi Gandaki Valley through the settlements of Tatopani, Jagat, and Philim. From Lokpa, the trek heads east towards Chhokang Paro. After leaving the main Manaslu trail, you enter the Tsum Valley. Mu Gompa is the largest and oldest monastery in the region and a holy site for the locals.
The major inhabitants of this region are the Tibetans who follow the age-old lifestyle and are extremely friendly. On the trek route, you can see the views of the Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, and Boudha Himal ranges. Best Season for Tsum Valley Trek
Nepal has major two different Seasons, Spring (March to May) and Autumn season (September to November).
The weather is generally dry and clear, making it easier to trek through the region's rugged terrain. The temperatures are also mild during these months, with daytime temperatures around 10 to 25 degrees Celsius, and comfortable for trekking.
Spring season (March-May), the Tsum Valley is beautiful rhododendron and other wildflowers in full bloom, making for a spectacular sight. The Autumn season (September-November) offers clear blue skies and panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, including Ganesh Himal, and Buddha Peak.
