Leaving Kathmandu early in the morning, the journey starts towards the west along Prithvi Highway. Once we reach Dumre, we will take a right off the main road and head up towards Besisahar. We will reach town by early afternoon.

From Besisahar, the drive goes along the old Annapurna Circuit route before the jeep track was built. The ride might be rough in some sections, but the journey is scenic. You can see beautiful rivers, gorges, waterfalls, and mountain views along the way. By early evening, you will reach Koto, your stop for the night.

We officially enter the restricted Nar Phu valley today. You will follow the route that leaves the main Annapurna Circuit route and then passes through the narrow forested gorge. You will be walking along the banks of the wild Nar River. Soon afterwards, you will navigate the lush bamboo forests, see rushing waterfalls and feel the thrill of cliffside trails.

Continuing further, the forests becomes sparsh. However, the sights of the surrounding mountains around this area are truly breathtaking. Afterwards, you will make a long ascent and finally reach Meta. Here, you will get rewarded with stunning views of Kang Guru and Pisang Peak.

Today, you will depart early from Meta village after having a nourishing breakfast. You will walk along the downhill path. You will follow the bank of serene Phu Khola across the desert gorge. Along the trail, you can enjoy stunning views of snowy peaks.

You will come across different beautiful Buddhist chortens and get rewarded with incredible views of gorges and canyons. Then, you will cross a suspension bridge and finally reach Phu.

After arriving in Phu, you can settle into your tea house, have dinner and enjoy your meals. Resting overnight at Phu will help you recover so that you will stay well prepared for the next day’s journey.

Your stop for today is Nar Phedi. After breakfast in Phu village, you will begin this scenic adventure. You will walk downhill alongside the Phu River.

Moving further while enjoying these scenic vistas, you will finally make it to Nar Phedi. Trekkers usually spend the night at this serene place before beginning the climb to Nar Village.

Trek Duration: 3 to 4 hours

Today, the route takes you deep into the mountain ranges. The trail gradually climbs over open hillsides. You can see several stone walls, chortens and mani stones along the way. You will also come across several suspension bridges, including the Mahendra Pul. Throughout the whole adventure, you will be treated to stunning landscapes.

This day's trek route is mostly dry and rugged. You will pass through yak grazing areas as well as alpine meadows. In addition, you come across beautifully decorated chortens. You will be treated to beautiful views of the mountain ranges opening up in the distance, including the view of Pisang Peak.

This is the longest and most exciting part of the Nar Phu Valley Trek. The journey starts early in the morning after leaving Nar village. This is a quiet stretch on the trek through fir and pine trees. As the trek continues, the forest gradually disappears and takes you higher toward Kang La Pass.

The climb becomes steep as you make ascend. Upon reaching the top, you can see colorful prayer flags. From this high point you can see Annapurna II, Tilicho, Pisang Peak, Damodar and many other nearby mountains.

After spending some time at the pass you will follow the trail that leads down to the village of Ngawal. Here, the accommodation facilities are more comfortable with varied food options. You can rest here comfortably and enjoy a warm dinner after a long trek.
