The Langtang Gosainkunda trekking trails are predominantly inhabited by the Tamang community and offer a genuine display of cultural prosperity. Explore the region home to Langtang National Park and the magnificent Langtang Lirung (7227m) on the Langtang Gosainkunda Trek.

This classic journey of Langtang Gosainkunda Trek begins in Kathmandu. A visit to Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square is a moment of cultural exploration. With glimpses of the heritage of ancient Nepal, the trip heads north to Langtang where the tumultuous roads of Trishuli valley mark the start of the wilderness journey. Starting from Sybrubensi, the trek heads along to the villages of Lama Hotel, Ghodatabela, and Langtang Village. The trek leads to Kyanjin Gompa where Tibetan-Buddhist Tamang history awaits unraveling. A hint of adventure is added by the hike up Tserko Ri (4984m) offering glimpses of glimpse of Ganesh Himal (7422m), Langtang Lirung (7227m), and Dorje Lakpa (6966m). Descending back on the same route, the trek heads to Thulo Syabru. Descending further, Shin Gompa is the next destination. Next, a holy setting comes in the form of Gosainkunda Lake, one of several lakes in the Langtang region. Devotees of the Hindu religion flock the trail to these lakes to rinse off their sins and gain sanctity.

A circuitous route via Chisapani and Sundarijal marks the completion of this trek with a ride back to Kathmandu completing the loop. The Langtang trek adds to a wholesome trekking experience with a chance to unravel some of the endangered species unique to this region. A meeting with the Himalayan black bear, red panda, and snow leopard is on the plate while this trek portrays the beauty of the Himalayas in the Langtang range and the Gosainkunda range is up for grabs.

    Client Reviews

    • Fantastic experience with ACE vision on my Langtang-Gosaikunda trek

I’ve been an independent traveler for more than 15 years and have never used a travel agency. However, when I decided to go to Nepal alone, it seemed like I needed some help, and I was fortunate to find Ganesh (ACE Vision).

He is different from your average travel agent. He is a person who strives to make your visit GREAT because he does it from his heart. Everything from the moment I contacted him went smoothly. He met me at the airport, organized a city tour with a fun and knowledgeable guide and a driver, booked a super lovely hotel etc. I saw so much in my only day in Kathmandu!

Most importantly, he arranged everything around my Langtang-Gosaikunda trek. For the trek, I had the best team ever - my fantastic mountain guide Ang Dawa Sherpa and the guide assistant Samir. These people are highly professional, kind, and caring. They were always there when I needed them and were invisible when I needed some space for myself. They went far beyond my expectations and helped me tremendously.

Ang Dawa is an excellent guide, and he knows his stuff well: trails, mountains, and safety measures. He helped me make informed decisions but never pushed me into anything that much appreciated. He carefully checked me every time I had the slightest symptoms of AMS and reassured me that everything was fine when I was worried.

On top of everything, all of them are super nice and fun people you wanna have as your friends, and I simply cannot wait to see my new Nepalese friends again!
