The Mohare Danda Trek snakes through the stunning Annapurna Region adorned with the glistening peaks of Annapurna I (8,091m.), Dhaulagiri I (8,167m.), Machhapuchhre (6,997m.), and Annapurna South (7,219m) among the other Himalayas. This Trek takes us on a unique journey through the virgin pathways filled with a wide variety of floras and faunas deep into the treasure trove of nature. Even exploring the Magar hamlets, the trek embraces the delights of the Annapurna region and its opulent flora and fauna.

The journey of Mohare Danda Trek begins from the tranquil hills of the valley.  Touring the UNESCO world heritage sites of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square spread throughout the city. We make our way towards the trailhead located at Galeshwar crossing the mesmerizing city of Pokhara. en route. Through the lush green forests which cover the entirety of the Annapurna Region.  We begin our trek towards Banskharka for our first night on the go. Continuing on, the lonely trail winds upwards while crossing stunning landscapes and vibrant forests towards the hamlet of Nangi.

An early morning trek takes us to the Mohare Danda Hill station.  From where we can bear witness to the snowy summits of the majestic Annapurna Himalayan Range painted golden with the rays of the early morning sun. Heading down, the journey continues its forested run descending to Deurali.  And then onto the vibrant hamlet of Ghandruk blessed with stunning views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,997m). The village is also known to house astonishing Gurung culture and practice the famous homestay practice in Nepal. The final stretch takes us down to Nayapul.  From where we board the bus heading towards Pokhara ending the Himalayan journey. The Mohare Danda Trek is best done in the months of March to May.  During spring and September to November during autumn.

Itinerary

After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our Ace vision Treks & Tours office representative who will drive you directly to the hotel. With the activities of the day over you can head down to the local market to enjoy the local delicacies. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

    Today, we take time off to prepare for the trek while also touring the UNESCO world heritage sites of the valley beginning with Swayambhunath which has been a statue of peace for generations and boasts a tranquil environment. Heading out, we take on the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath next recognized by the thousands of pilgrims who visit each day and the resonating prayers. The famed Kathmandu Durbar Square is next on our list as we take a turn through history before ending our journey at the stunning monastery at Boudhanath. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

      The day begins early with a lovely breakfast and we head away from the valley snaking through the winding pathways of Prithvi Highway. Surrounded by the stunning hilly landscape, the journey takes us on an enchanting run as the tranquil Trishuli River joins us midway through our journey. We reach Pokhara just in time to witness the stunning views of the sunset over the Himalayas on the horizon. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

        We begin the day with a lovely drive heading towards the picturesque city of Galeshwar. Taking on the banks of the Kaligandaki River, we continue our journey heading past Beni reaching the Kaligandaki Gorge, which is also the deepest gorge in the world. Enjoying the stunning views of the fast-flowing Kaligandaki and the gorge down below, we head towards Banskharka. Overnight stay at Banskharka.

          Guided by the stunning Himalayas, the journey heads deeper into the valley accompanied by lush green forests filled with pine, oak, and juniper trees. The journey is a lovely one as we continue past several clusters of settlements inhabited by the locals which also gives us a chance to learn about their unique way of life and culture. We reach Nangi in time to enjoy the stunning views of the sunset.

            The day begins early as it is one of the longest days of our entire trek. Kicking off with the stunning mountain peaks of Machhapuchhre (6,997m) and Dhaulagiri I (8,167m) on the horizon, the journey continues through the lush green forests adorned with stunning landscapes. Through the vibrant hamlets, the trail continues its gentle ascent reaching Mohare Danda. Overnight stay at Mohare Danda.

              We begin the day with the lovely views of sunrise from the Mohare Danda reflected on the glistening peaks of Annapurna I (8,091m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), Nilgiri (6,820m), Annapurna South (7,219m), and Machhapuchhre (6,997m) as the stunning Himalayan panorama surrounds us. After enjoying the stunning views of the Himalayas, we begin our journey heading towards the hamlet of Deurali. Overnight stay at Deurali.

                Bidding goodbye to the stunning Himalayan panorama surrounding Deurali, we begin our way descending down towards Ghandruk. The trail gradually moves in and out of cultivated lands and several smaller settlements beyond which the vibrant hamlet of Ghandruk shines with the rays of the sun. The hamlet widely known for its tranquil environment and stunning views of Machhapuchhre (6,997m) is also the perfect place to end our Himalayan adventure. Overnight stay at Ghandruk.

                  On the final day of the trek, we head down to Nayapul continuing through the rocky trail surrounded by lush green forests filled with oak and pine trees. The journey takes us the right to the heart of the lovely waterfall where to take some time off before continuing on towards Nayapul. From Nayapul, we drive back towards Pokhara enjoying the pleasant hilly landscapes. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

                    The final day of our journey takes us back to Kathmandu on the Prithvi Highway alongside the Trishuli River. Enjoying the pleasant hilly landscapes, we continue our journey accompanied by the rising hills. Back in the valley, we head directly to the hotel where a lovely farewell dinner awaits us. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
